Babybird are an English rock band from Sheffield centred on songwriter Stephen Jones. Jones began releasing collections of his home recordings under the name Baby Bird in 1995, before recruiting Huw Chadbourn, Robert Gregory, John Pedder and Luke Scott to form a band under the slightly altered name Babybird. After signing to Echo Records, the band achieved their commercial breakthrough with the 1996 single "You're Gorgeous", which reached number three on the UK Singles Chart and charted internationally.
